π What timezone is the Planet Xaoc website in?
guidelines
lorekeeper
π The Planet Xaoc website always uses EDT/EST - Eastern Timezone, and daylight savings adjust its clock whenever applicable. You can check this on our footer, at the very bottom of any webpage.
π± The main site moderator (ocularguts) is actually set on GMT+8 within Souteast Asia. The Planet Xaoc website is set differently because a full minus twelve hours from our own clock is easy to follow. For example, 9 AM on the Planet Xaoc website, would simply be my own 9 PM, if there are no daylight savings applied.
π How can I apply as a guest artist designer or moderator?
guidelines
world
πΒ The Guest Artist or Design Donor application form is always open byΒ clicking this link.
π± As for moderator applications, they are closed! We appreciate the offered help but are unable to provide time as of this writing to setup admin applications.
π Sometimes ocularguts posts on theΒ official discord server's news channel for volunteer calls, which compensates for MYO slot or ARPG items.

π No. Designing and owning a Planet Xaoc character is entirely free! We run on a P2R (Pay To Register) system, which means officially registering onsite is when participation may cost funds. For example: buying a MYO slot, purchasing an adoptable (official sale onsite or resale from community members), admin custom commission, or similar methods that explicitly state use of real world currency.
π± However, in the Terms of Service: Section II (Letter J - Fan characters) - you are allowed to freely make Planet Xaoc inspired characters, use the worldbuild within TTRPG sessions with friends, write and involve your one-off characters with them, and upload them offsite! So long as we are credited for the source material and they are explicitly noted as a fan character: only used for personal fun, and not for profit nor to harm others.

π What is Planet Xaoc about?
world
Source: https://planet.xaoc.fun/info/guides
π This website is an artistic passion project that started all the way back to 2017 by user ocularguts, also known as "O" online, and goes by any pronouns. They are a digital artist from Southeast Asia who has a fondness for monster designs and abstract art. This website is geared towards anyone who enjoys creating, writing, and drawing fictional characters in a pre-existing online worldbuild of monsters and aliens!
π± Xaoc, and other fictional terms starting with X, is pronounced like Z. As of this writing, Planet Xaoc is inhabited by four main species: Xaeco (anthropomorphic alien rabbits), the Xatli (anthropomorphic dragons with satellite themes), Xopas (slime creatures), and Xulap (fish monsters). Its major themes are science-fiction horror and surrealism, with hints of solarpunk and fantasy. Participants are required to be 16 years of age or older due to its cartoon violence and horror aspects.
π The online game's goal is simple: to create characters and to have fun participating in story events using those characters via creative means! There are many ways to enjoy this project: collecting character designs for art ethusiasts, drawing or writing about them on onsite prompts, or by developing stories with friends or the community!
