A splinter of an interdimensional librarian that merged with a piece of the Entity of Reality, becoming a Xopas. Like their source, they keep a library of abstract forms of stories, some collected or recorded from interdimensional travels and some written uniquely by them. Each story is almost like a living thing, and can be entered, traversed, and changed.

Though they think of their name as Auraeum, they also use the alias of "Aurax" as an homage to Planet Xaoc and as a shortened nickname.

Auraeum is content with solitude, though they can enjoy company as well. They are much like their origin, with a love of experiencing and creating stories, experiencing countless perspectives and ideas. They wander across time and space seeking stories, mostly of or from other realitykin, experiencing emotions through the veil of immersion while simultaneously being dissociated from their emotions and attachments. They think of their existence, and everyone else's, as stories. They are often daydreaming or indulging in some imagined scenario or story; they can also be found curled up in their base form with a book, whether one they found or one from their personal collection. 

This splinter of Auraeum is more emotionally distant than most, focused especially on the archival aspect of their existence—collecting stories and histories with fixated focus. When their purpose aligns with archival needs of Planet Xaoc's society, they do not mind donating their efforts, though it is not much of a priority compared to their own goals. When they return to Planet Xaoc to rest, they tend not to seek out company, though they would not mind it from friends. 

Their presence may be eerie or ominous to many, though they are not at all malicious; they may even be considered gentle. They speak with a resonant and reverberant voice that has a likeness to large metal ceremonial bells.

Abilities

Auraeum has the general abilities of Xopas. They are able to freely and rapidly traverse across time and different timelines. They can switch between their base form (a small pulp state) and their power form (Pulp Form) by releasing their inner blood, which has the consistency of thick, firm, and malleable jelly and protects it from being crushed violently by its ability to jump timelines. Altering a timeline's components may cause paradoxes that worsen the entanglement of the Entity of Reality's cosmic threads, though their Xopas blood temporarily deflects these effects within a reasonable length of time. Prolonged exposure outside of its original timeline thins its jelly coating over time, and further depletion leads to a gradual degradation of their ability to jump timelines. Their blood can be replenished by returning home and staying in their base form to rest.

Auraeum's connection to the other aspects of Auraeum's existence additionally enhances and expands their abilities. 

The Gilded Library

Auraeum's essence is linked to an interdimensional space—the Gilded Library. This library takes many forms in different areas and everything you see is simply a manifestation of some abstract essence. The form it most often takes is having tall black bookshelves, many books with black covers gilded with gold, with pages of gold. When you open them, stories flood into your mind—vivid scenes of that which is written. You can enter the stories as well, either as an invisible observer or as an entity within the world. If you enter as an entity, you may enter as yourself, or you may take the form of something that would belong in the story. When you enter as an entity you make a new section of the book—a new derivative story. 

Xopas Auraeum's library is separate but connected to the original Auraeum's library. That is, with the right metaphysical pathway, one can move between Xopas Auraeum and Origin Auraeum's libraries. They largely curate their own collections, but often peruse each other's. They also have shared spaces where they collaborate.

Insight

Auraeum can have an understanding of others' stories to varying degrees. What this entails can vary—it can be anything from understanding others' emotions, understanding their story arcs, motives, thoughts, etc. Generally, this insight is imprecise but accurate.

Traversal

In addition to being able to traverse time, Auraeum can also cross dimensions to enter other universes. By slipping between the folds of spacetime, they can also functionally teleport across 3D space. 

Unison

Xopas Auraeum's existence is a parallel to Origin Auraeum's, and Auraeum's other splinters. Generally, they exist independently, but they are able to blend their psyche, awareness, and will to varying degrees if they so desire. To a strong extent, Auraeum and all their splinters can essentially form a hivemind of interdimensional existences.

History

One day, the original Auraeum arrived in the Xaoc universe and met Kuxu. The two were quite fascinated with each other, and Auraeum became intrigued enough that they wished to experience the Xaoc universe at a more personal level. They traveled to an earlier time and carved out a splinter of their soul, casting it off in the metaphysical currents of the universe. 

That splinter ended up merging with a piece of the Entity of Reality's guts, sparking the formation of a new Xopas. As soon as this Xopas gained consciousness, the connection to Auraeum's existence clicked into place and they "remembered" their existence as Auraeum, including the encounter between origin Auraeum and Kuxu. 

The new Xopas, taking on the name and identity of Auraeum, soon met Azxa, who happened to stumble upon them. After introducing themselves, Auraeum asked for guidance to Planet Xaoc, and Azxa agreed. Once they arrived, Auraeum began their "mission," so to speak—meeting other realitykin and learning their stories. Once they had become more familiar with Planet Xaoc and their existence as a Xopas, they set off across time and space, seeking their stories.

Xopas Auraeum was created by the merging of a splinter from the original Auraeum's splinter with a piece of the Entity of Reality's guts. Xopas Auraeum has a strong sense of identity alignment with Auraeum as a whole, thinking of themself as the part of Auraeum focused on the stories of the Xaoc universe, and Auraeum thinks of Xopas Auraeum as a part of themself that observes the Xaoc universe from within. With Xopas Auraeum in the Xaoc universe, Auraeum feels no particular need to visit, and the two only rarely come face-to-face in the Gilded Library. They think and act independently if very similarly, though their memories in recall are shared with all parts of Auraeum.

Azxa • Friend
Azxa was the first friend of Auraeum in their existence as a Xopas. They sometimes share in quiet, comfortable company on Planet Xaoc or other places, and when Auraeum has no particular destination in mind, they might tag along on Azxa's travels. 

Kuxu • Friend
Origin Auraeum's meeting with Kuxu was what set off the events that led to Xopas Auraeum's existence. After Xopas Auraeum formed, they later reunited with Kuxu, and the two became quite good friends, having rather similar interests and methods of pursuing them. With Kuxu, Auraeum becomes a bit disinhibited in they way they talk about others, more obviously speaking about them as if they are stories rather than independent beings, though Kuxu is hardly deterred by this.
