  • "Critter Effect", shortened to critterfect, adds fauna-esque changes to the character (or a general change to the base anatomy of a species). You can mix and match freely. This trait is handled with nuance per species.

usage:

  • Protrusions: Exposed skeletal bones (or if skin is translucent, innards showcase those),  addition of antennae, feelers, horns, mandibles, spikes of any shape, amount, and sizes all over the body for Xaeco, Xatli, and Xulap.

  • Reptillian/Aquatic: Allows tentacles and/or tendrils to protrude out of a Pocket Dimension trait or a Xatli's inner poncho wing. Allows extra skin resembling cobrahoods to the neck area, allows webbing (between fingers, spikes, and spines), allows addition [or replacement] of tentacles/tendrils to the arms, ears, fins, or tails for Xaeco, Xatli, and Xulap.

  • Invertebrate: Allows to have a millipede, centipede, shrimp, slug, or thorax-like structure for the tail of a Xaeco, Xatli, and Xulap.

  • Feet: Allows a drastically different feet shape outside of each species' common base, such as: Xaeco { Avian, Hooves, Insectoid } , Xopas { Paws, Avian } , Xatli { Paws, Hooves, Insectoid }.

usage:

  • Obvious bodily holes like swiss cheese. This can have a variety of shapes besides circular. There must be no leaks.

  • This trait also allows eye sockets to be completely hollowed out as well.

  • The visible insides (flesh wall) must be the same color as its blood.

  • Strong and solid organic form that will not cause any distortions to it's body when traversing Mournfell Shards' islands or multidimensional hopping.

  • Xulaps with this physical trait are often Xaoc's frontlines in mitigating the decay that leaks from the aforementioned islands, filled with rapidly growing rot and multidimensional toxins.

usage:

  • The Xulap does not have a ghostly body, lacks any levitating "ripped" bodily pieces, and they cannot phase through walls nor hide in shadows.

  • In the masterlist image, they can still have the phantom form but it is now merely a cosmetic lore-wise. The most this can do is camofladge when traveling the vast outer space, or the darkness of the night.

  • This trait is for Xopas that have protrusions akin to bipedal standing. Maximum of two pegs ending on singular blunted or sharp endpoint.

  • Variations: More than two bodily protrusion would require Mystical: Multitude, more than two points per end-of-feet peg would require Rare: Stiletto, and animal-stylized feet would require Mystical: Critterfect.

  • The end point of the Xulap's mouth must end in a pronounced polygon: it is typically rounded or circular, but can be other shapes as well as long as the end-point is evident.

  • The character is missing a key aspect of its species anatomy. There is no scarring or indicator that function was removed, there is simply nothing where a bodily part should be.

usage:

  • For Xaeco: Lack of furvest, tail and ears.

  • For Xatli: Lack of tail and ears.

  • For Xulap: There are no fins, but the nubs in which they are typically attached unto must remain.

  • For Xopas: Lack of vents, and inability to have jelly overall but can still freely shapeshift.

  • For All: Lack of eyes - but the area of where the characters eyes are is entirely smooth. If there are holes, that would fall under the Rare: Hollow trait.

  • The Xulap's fins resemble unorthodox shapes that is uncommon to fishes in general.

  • The nub for which the fins are attached can be visually vague with this trait, but the fins still need to be readable as such, and must not be mistaken for arms.

  • Shapes allowed includes strands of elongated streamers, ribbons, polygonal stacks, intersected planes, and similar others.

  • This trait is available for Xaeco, Xatli, Xopas, and Xulap.

  • These are singular or multiple pouches on the body, serving as a mini pocket dimension.

  • The pouches must not exceed the size of 

  • Cannot be added on the innerside of a Xatli's wings, as that is already a small pocket dimension entrance. You may freely add pouches on the outer layer (back of the wings).

  • Formerly called "Multitude" (late 2025), and much further in the past as "Crowded Limbs/Multiple Ears/Hydra" (2024 and earlier).

usage:

  • EARS — The Xaeco or Xatli's ears come in three or more pairs (must at least be indvidual count of five or more).

  • MOUTH — More than one opening and the separation of individual mouths must be evident. This does not count for elongated facial slits for Xaeco or Xulap from base anatomy requirements.

  • HEAD — Evidently more than one head or hydra-like. May also give a singular head something fractured-like in appearance; whereas the midsection splits to have two or more snouts outwards.

  • ARMS — The character has four or more arms. Limbs may also organically fracture in some form (splits on elbow or wrist area),  ending in two or more pair of half-way arms or hands at the end. Like the letter Y.

  • FINGERS — The Xaeco or Xatli has more than six fingers per hand.

  • FINS — The Xulap has more than three pair of fins on the head, torso, or tail (two pairs each aforementioned body section is allowed within Common).

  • LEGS — The Xaeco, Xatli, or Xopas has more than two legs they stand on (akin to a Centaur).

  • TAILS — The Xaeco or Xatli has three or more tails.
