Species: Xaeco, Xopas, Xulap, Xatli

lore:

  • Work in progress, to be added later.

  • The indvidual is able to generate ghostly spores, split from and similar to its physical appearance. The amount depends on the individual's physical ability and are intended to provide assistance and share goals in some way to its origin.

  • These ghostly spores are not sentient, but are similar to thought bubbles given temporary form - in order to help the individual execute a specific action. As an example; it can be compared to a wizard creating a magical fireball that will disappear once it has finished beelining to a nearby wooden bonfire, then flickers away upon accomplishing its goal of setting that alit.

  • If the goal is left unaccomplished, these underlings typically last hours to a few days maximum - before they fizzle into nothingness or remerge with their source if such is nearby. Though it is unsurprising if others have practiced the skill for these to last much longer.

  • These ghostly spores are able to travel great distances depending on the skill of its creator, and how much they are aware of the ability's ancient scripts. The trait's name references a mythical forest within Mournfell named "Infinite Roots". Now-departed scholars of Planet Xaoc observed its local flora for centuries to learn from, only to discover what was assumed to be clusters of trees were actually veins of an unmoving giant far below the ground - its species likely being one of their own. The location is now classified and treated as sacred grounds, while presentday researchers figure out whether the collosal being is decaying or actually alive and still growing the rest of its form.

usage:

  • The design of these spores must be evidently simple in silhoette, and use colors existing in the main design. The gauge we use is ensuring it cannot be mistaken for another form, and must not be larger than the head.

  • These spores can have dotted eyes, simple shaped mouths, and tiny limbs (with no apparent digits like fingers).

  • Each individual spore can have varying shapes, sizes, and patterns - as long as they all use colors from the original main form's design.
